Royal Enfield Is Selling Only 100 of Its Rough Crafts Shotgun 650 — and Just 10 Go to the US
The gloss-and-matte-black special edition, built off Taiwanese customizer Winston Yeh's one-off Caliber Royale show bike, sells in a first-come, first-served online drop that rolls out region by region starting July 27 — with a $7,999 price tag $1,100 above the standard Shotgun 650.
Royal Enfield is turning its Shotgun 650 into a 100-unit global drop designed by Rough Crafts, the Taipei-based custom house run by Winston Yeh — and for once, "limited edition" means something close to literal. Only 10 of the 100 bikes are earmarked for the US, with 2 more allocated to Canada; the rest are split across Europe, India, and Asia-Pacific, sold in a phased, first-come-first-served online registration rather than through a dealer allocation.
The bike itself is a factory-built homage to a one-off. Rough Crafts' original Caliber Royale, a hand-built custom based on the Shotgun 650, debuted as a show bike at EICMA 2025; the Drop translates its look into a production run rather than replicating the build itself. That means Gloss Jet Black and Matt Stealth Black bodywork split by a hand-applied gold-leaf pinstripe, gold-anodized fork tubes, contrast-cut alloy wheels, black bar-end mirrors, and a quilted leather seat. Every unit gets an individually numbered tank graphic, a cast-brass Rough Crafts collaboration badge, and a signed print of Yeh's original Caliber Royale sketch.
Mechanically, nothing changes: the Drop keeps the standard Shotgun 650's 648cc air-and-oil-cooled parallel twin, making 46.3 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 38.5 lb-ft of torque at 5,650 rpm through a six-speed gearbox, on the same steel spine frame with Showa suspension and Bybre brakes. Adrian John Sellers, Royal Enfield's Head of Custom & Motorsports, said the edition "carries a distinctive design language inspired by the 'Caliber Royale' custom build" — the changes here are entirely cosmetic, which is standard practice for this kind of factory-custom collaboration.
The sale itself is staggered by region and timed to the minute: EMEA opens July 27 at 7 p.m. CET, the Americas follow July 28 at 10 a.m. EST, Asia-Pacific goes July 29 at 7 p.m. AEDT, and India closes out the rollout July 30 at 7 p.m. IST. US pricing lands at $7,999, a $1,100 premium over the standard Shotgun 650; Canadian buyers pay CAD $10,799. It's Royal Enfield and Rough Crafts' latest factory collaboration since the two first partnered on the Continental GT 650-based Midas Royale in 2019 — this is the first time that partnership has produced a bike actually sold to the public in numbered, individually allocated units rather than as a one-off show build.
